As our Mission Statement indicates, we are to build into one another as we build bridges to our community! It's a big deal for us to serve our community in practical ways, so that they will see the love of Christ in us and through us. Listed below are a few of the ministries that serve our community.
The Community Cupboard, one of our signature outreach ministries, reaches and serves our local communities, by providing families with grocery items while also ministering to their spiritual needs.
The Cupboard operates at both our Columbia and Owings Mills/Reisterstown campuses, and are both open on Sundays immediately following services to those in the community and to those attending services, until 30 to 40 minutes following each service.
The Columbia Campus is also opened to the community on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, 10am - 12 noon.
As an extension of our Community Cupboard, we hold annual drives to serve the community with specific needs throughout the calendar year. These include our Clothing Drive, Backpack Drive, Thanksgiving Drive, and Christmas Drive.
At Bridgeway, we believe we should care for those in need in our church and our community. The Community Cupboard gives us the opportunity to serve others in a very practical way.
Five Loaves Two Fish
Five Loaves Two Fish is all about helping to serve those in the inner city of Baltimore. The ministry’s goal is to give hope, love, and food to the homeless, poor, and oppressed through weekly life groups, monthly outreach events, and annual holiday celebrations. Bridgeway partners with other local churches to bring the hope of Christ to those in need.
At Bridgeway, we seek to reach those in need with the life changing message of Jesus Christ. Sometimes, that means seeking those who may be forgotten by society. The Prison Ministry reaches out to inmates, to help them feel connected to the body of Christ, through one-on-one discipleship, monthly worship services, and letter writing.
