Community Outreach

As our Mission Statement indicates, we are to build into one another as we build bridges to our community! It's a big deal for us to serve our community in practical ways, so that they will see the love of Christ in us and through us.  Listed below are a few of the ministries that serve our community.

Community Cupboard

The Community Cupboard is one of our signature outreach ministries that reaches and serves our local community, by providing families with fresh, non-perishable food items while also ministering to their spiritual needs.

The Cupboard is open on Sundays to those attending services and to the community on Saturdays 10:00am - 11:00am.

As an extension of our Community Cupboard, we hold annual drives to serve the community with specific needs throughout the calendar year.  These include our Clothing Drive, Backpack Drive, Thanksgiving Drive, and Christmas Drive.

At Bridgeway, we believe we should care for those in need in our church and our community.  The Community Cupboard gives us the opportunity to serve others in a very practical way.

Need Food?

Five Loaves Two Fish

Five Loaves Two Fish is all about helping to serve those in the inner city of Baltimore.  The ministry’s goal is to give hope, love, and food to the homeless, poor, and oppressed through weekly life groups, monthly outreach events, and annual holiday celebrations.  Bridgeway partners with other local churches to bring the hope of Christ to those in need.

Prison

At Bridgeway, we seek to reach those in need with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.  Sometimes, that means seeking those who may be forgotten by society.  The Prison Ministry reaches out to inmates, to help them feel connected to the body of Christ, through one-on-one discipleship, monthly worship services, and letter writing.

I was so tired of the "religious rituals" in church: watching people proclaim being a Christian, but not being Christ-like. I prayed & searched for a church without the EXTRA and truly multicultural. I was glad when I found it here.- Mavis S.
