Tim Samuel, CPA, serves as Chief Financial Officer of Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, Maryland, where he has served since 2008. He helps align financial leadership with the church’s mission to build into one another as it builds bridges to the community.
With nearly two decades of church finance experience, Tim brings together CPA discipline, relational wisdom, and a deep commitment to the local church. His role exists to make Bridgeway financially strong and ready for future ministry by providing trusted CPA leadership, clear choices, wise stewardship, and helpful support so that financial clarity is increased, risks are handled, leaders can move forward with confidence, and the church can strategically manage resources to make a multicultural impact.
Serving under Dr. David Anderson, Tim has helped support Bridgeway’s financial strength and future readiness as the church continues to serve a diverse, Christ-centered community.
Tim is also a contributing editor for Church Law & Tax and has served in the broader nonprofit and accounting community, including leadership service connected to the Maryland Association. He is passionate about helping organizations lead with wisdom, strengthen trust, and build a financial future that supports ministry for years to come.
Tim is a husband, a dad of three, and someone who cares deeply about building things that last. Some of his favorite moments happen around a fire pit with good conversation, at his daughter’s volleyball games, or smoking meat on his Traeger. As a native of North Jersey he loves pizza, hot dogs and bhel puri.
