Persevere

PERSEVERE is more than a word; it is a way of life. It provides nine pillars upon which to build our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. Through these pillars, we learn to draw strength from God by abiding in Him (Prayer), receive strength from others (Encouragement, Relationships, Support), grow in truth and godly instruction (Exhortation & Education), trust in God’s promises (Rest Assured), and keep pressing forward faithfully until the work He has begun is complete (Effort).

Baptism is an outward sign of a faith decision to follow Jesus. It demonstrates that believers are not ashamed to be identified with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.In 1 Corinthians 15, the Apostle Paul mentions baptism. What is baptism and what does it mean? What happens if someone dies unbaptized? If someone backslides or falls away from the faith, do they need to be re-baptized? In this series, we will learn what the biblical understanding of baptism is physically and spiritually while encouraging every believer to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

The annual Winter Guest Speaker Series in February is when Dr. Anderson invites and personally hosts guest speakers from around the world that he is in relationship with to impart a word from God to Bridgeway Community Church.

Have you ever wondered what the gospel is? With so many mixed messages, what components of the gospel are true, false, clear and unclear? In this sermon series, we will clarify what the gospel is and what it is not. The believers in Corinth, according to 1 Corinthians 15, were becoming confused about the gospel, and they weren’t sure what to believe about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this series, the truth of the gospel will be preached as the Scripture teaches.

Spiritual resources are available to every believer in Jesus Christ. These resources are spiritual weapons that you can use against the enemy when you are being spiritually attacked. They work in spiritual battles that are being waged in the natural world. God has provided these gifts, resources, and tools to help us succeed, prosper, advance the kingdom of God, and win against every foe that seeks to destroy the work of God in and through us.

When your hope takes a hit and you are left to wonder if anything matters, this is when 1 Corinthians 15 reminds us that our hope is in the Lord. We have an eternal future that makes all of this life worth whatever we have endured. When it feels like everything is in vain, we are reminded that nothing that we do for the Lord is without Him noticing, and Hhe will reward us in due season. So, we are commanded in Romans 12:12 to “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
