Season’s Greetings!

As the Christmas season begins, we invite you to step away from the busyness of this time of year to quiet your heart and contemplate Advent–a time of preparation for the celebration of the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Traditionally, the Advent Season is observed by churches all across the world in the weeks leading up to Christmas Day and focuses on the four themes of hope, love, joy, and peace.

Enclosed you will find a calendar for the month of December that offers guidance as you seek to focus your heart and mind on these themes of Advent. However, this guide is a bit different than traditional Advent calendars–it focuses on praying for the nations. Not only does it celebrate the hope, love, joy, and peace that Christ’s birth brings to us, but it also encourages us to pray the same for Muslims around the world.

Included in this guide are four cards that focus on the four themes of Advent (one for each week). Each theme, accompanied by verses, has been matched with a region of the Muslim world, and each day spotlights a particular country in that region. The countries themselves were identified by Frontiers field workers as places in the world where the most unreached and unengaged Muslim people groups can be found.

Over the past 20 years, God has brought more Muslims to himself than in the 1400 years since Islam started. We are living in an amazing time! And yet, so many Muslim families still have not heard who Jesus truly is.

Will you take time this Advent season to pray for these people?

As you start your day or sit down to a meal with your family, please join us in praying that the kingdom of God, filled with the hope, love, joy and peace that only JESUS can give, will break into each of these countries.

We wish you a truly Merry Christmas!
