Bridgeway is excited to announce our Guest Speaker Series! Every year in February, Dr. David Anderson invites some of the best national and international speakers to the Bridgeway stage. This year might look a bit different, but you can still expect to hear a relevant, hope-filled message from the following speakers!

  • Nona JonesFebruary 7th, 2021
    • An internationally renowned speaker, preacher, author and business executive who has become a recognized voice of hope, healing and inspiration to many, using her platform to equip people to rise from their past pain into a fulfilling future.
    • She was licensed into the gospel ministry at the age of 17 and regularly preaches around the world.
    • Nona authored two bestselling books, her memoir, Success from the Inside Out, and her digital discipleship guide From Social Media to Social Ministry that equips Christians to advance God’s Kingdom through social technology.
    • Nona has been profiled by ESSENCE Magazine as an “Under 40 Woman to Watch” and Florida Trend Magazine as one of Florida’s “30-Something All Stars.”
    • A sought-after public-speaker, she has delivered keynote addresses for the United Nations and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
    • She holds a Bachelor in Communications and Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida where she has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Alumnus.
    • In addition to Nona’s professional and civic work, she and her husband, Pastor Timothy L. Jones, Sr., lead Open Door Ministries in Gainesville, Florida.
  • Phil VischerFebruary 14th, 2021
    • Creator of VeggieTales videos.
    • Today, more than 60 million Veggie Tales videos have been purchased and Phil’s faith-filled stories can be found in 1/3 of all American homes with young children.
    • Although Phil’s original company, Big Idea Productions, collapsed in bankruptcy in 2003, Phil continues some involvement with Veggie Tales, while actively developing new ways to integrate faith and storytelling through his new company, Jellyfish Labs, including the new series, What’s in the Bible?
    • Phil captured the breathtaking rise and heartbreaking fall of Big Idea Productions in the book Me, Myself & Bob – published by Thomas Nelson.
    • Phil has recently posted some amazing and compelling videos that have gone viral on system racism that tells the story of America, politics, law and order, and encourages us to care as we build bridges of understanding.

  • Edgar SandovalFebruary 21st, 2021
    • President, World Vision US
    • As President and CEO since Oct. 1, 2018, Edgar has placed a strong emphasis on World Vision’s Christian identity and the spiritual transformation of staff.
    • In addition to leading the organization to 8% revenue growth in 2019, he traveled internationally to some of the world’s hot spots, including the Colombia/Venezuela border; appeared in National Geographic’s “Activate” TV series; spoke at pastors gatherings and donor events around the U.S.; and launched Chosen®, a new invitation to child sponsorship.
    • Edgar was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Central and South America.
    •  He holds bachelor’s degrees in industrial engineering and sociology from Rutgers University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
    • Edgar was an executive at Procter & Gamble before God called him to serve God at World Vision.
  • Israel HoughtonFebruary 28th, 2021
    • Israel Houghton is a prolific worship leader, musician, songwriter, producer and recording artist.
    • His music ministry has spanned 22 years.
    • Houghton is the recipient of 5 Grammy-Awards, 13 Dove Awards, 2 Stellar Awards, a Soul Train Music Awards and many more.
    •  In 1995, Houghton formed New Breed Ministries that gave way to his debut releases in 1997 Whisper It Loud, and Way of the World.
    • Since that time Houghton has released 11 solo and group CD’s and has consistently been a commercial success with Billboard chart toppers New Season, Power of One, and the current Jesus At The Center.
    • He achieved Gold-selling albums with Alive in South Africa, and Live From Another Level.
    • Married to Adrienne Bailon, television co-host of The Real and a former member of the girl group The Cheetah Girls, Israel and his wife hosted a recent online concert called Feels Like Home, where they featured the Bridgeway Worship Ministry.
