Hello Bridgeway! I pray you’re having a great week.

Sometimes small things go farther than grand gestures. Here’s an example.

In September, a Bridgeway attender in Catonsville reached out while in rehab following heart surgery and asked for some Mature & Mighty wristbands for his family. Our Ministry Support team activated immediately and sent out the wristbands, and they were immediately shared with the requestor’s family.

Earlier this week, we received the following email:

On behalf of my bother…I would like to thank you for your kindness shown him while he was in rehab recovering after heart surgery. He’d requested from Bridgeway in September “Mature & Mighty in Christ” wristbands which he lovingly sent to his four sisters. [My brother] was called home suddenly October 19, 2021. Through your kindness in granting his request, our remembrance is enhanced. Thank you.

Bridgeway, as we strive to be Mature & Mighty in our faith, let us never forget that sometimes a little goes a long, long way. Someone once said, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Something as simple as a specific “Thank You” to someone can make their day – or their WEEK! When we connect with people as brothers and sisters in Christ, it changes the way we relate to them. Treat all others like your sisters or brothers!

If you are looking for ways to engage with our sisters and brothers during this Christmas season, Bridgeway ministries are working hard to reach our community for Christ. This past Friday we gave away over 600 boxes of food for Thanksgiving. Tuesday, November 23, we will hold a Family Thanksgiving Service to celebrate all that we are thankful for. If you want to share in the uncomparable feeling of giving this year, check out the many serving opportunities Bridgeway is offering here, including sponsoring a child through Angels for Kids and serving the community in various ways on Christmas Eve morning through the Be a Blessing project.

Matthew 25:35 says, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Join me, as we continue to grow Mature & Mighty in Christ in service to others during this holiday season.
