A few weeks ago, I woke up with a message on my mind about the air and oxygen of the Holy Spirit. This came right after finishing the sermon series “Power” where I preached about the pouring out of the Holy Spirit and the move of God upon His people from the Day of Pentecost until now. Bridgeway, I want to make this declaration over you, your family, and our church community:
I declare and decree that the breath of the Holy Spirit will flow like air and oxygen to every part of our body as a church. Please invite the Holy Spirit to drive and move throughout your ministry. Wherever you serve and whatever part of the ministry you support, please invite the Holy Spirit to drive under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
May every baby, child, teenager, young adult, middle-aged, and maturing adult in this church be filled with the Holy Spirit.
As Bridgeway students attend school, may the Holy Spirit empower them against bullies and stimulate their brains for every academic challenge before them.
As Bridgeway adults go to work this week, may every profession and job they face be executed through the power and presence and wisdom of the Holy Spirit with them.
May the breath of God and the blood of Christ cover you and your families this week as you travel, work, relate, play, and rest.
The Holy Spirit is your comforter, your intercessor, and your helper. Don’t ignore Him. Invite Him. I promise you that whatever you are going through today and whatever you will face this week, He, Holy Spirit, will “make it better!”
I pray that you all have been encouraged by the move of the Holy Spirit in our ministry, especially, the past few weeks. It has been amazing to see the lives that have been transformed and the power of the Holy Spirit released in the lives of our congregation.
Beginning next week, Pastor Eli and I will be starting a four week evangelism series titled “Precious.” I am excited to see how the Holy Spirit will use this series to bless His people.
