It seems you’ve insisted
to get confused and twisted
persevered and persisted
to push away and resist it
you need His help enlisted
instead of living unassisted
You will bite, scratch, and claw
to gain the purpose of it all
yet you turn away from Truth
and the promises He calls
You would rather choose to fall
when you should just sit in awe
and bow in reverence to the God who towers tall
For unto you a child was born, truly a Son was given
the government on His shoulders, He is the King who is risen
undeserved, yet forgiven
By His grace you’re even livin’
His sight is never hidden
His promises, they have been written
and He will still redeem this world
even though the fruit was bitten
Since the beginning, there was a plan
and that plan came perfect, with no flaws
strategically placed in time so that a 100% man and 100% God die on a cross
for our sins to bear.
We are no longer bound to sin so you could say we’re off the chains,
& He’s been given a name
His name is Jesus. I know that you’ve heard of Him
the Morning Star, He was born out of Bethlehem
He is called the Advocate, The Christ, the Anointed One
Lion of the tribe of Judah, call Him the Holy One.
Jesus of Nazareth Matthew 21:11
the Word of God, the One who’ll come down in the cloud from heaven
call him Emmanuel, Redeemer, Head of the church
the Rose of Sharon who came through the virgin birth
Isaiah 42:1 – One who was Chosen by God
Malachi 4:2 – the Son of Righteousness shall rise
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God is His name
Everlasting, Prince of Peace, He shall rid the world of shame
His reign is eternal
His kingdom has no end
Every tongue shall confess
Every knee you see will bend
If you still happen to wonder, just who our Savior is
Simply replay these words, for our Joy to the World lives
