About Dr. David Anderson

Dr. David Anderson is the founder and senior pastor of Bridgeway Community Church, as well as the founder and President of the BridgeLeader Network (BLN), one of the world’s leading authorities on the divides of race, wealth, culture, and faith. Dr. Anderson has worked throughout the world, inspiring and healing communities in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America.

Bridge-Building Work

Dr. Anderson appears daily as the host of RealTalk with Dr. David Anderson on WAVA (105.1 FM) in Washington DC, and has appeared weekly on ABC2 Baltimore on Sunday mornings. Through his travels, speaking engagements, and appearances, Dr. Anderson attempts to spread the Gospel as well as the underlying truth of Gracism as the solution to racism. No matter how difficult or harsh the situation, Dr. Anderson seems to build a bridge through these differences and unite people together.


Dr. Anderson earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2001 from Oxford Graduate School’s American Centre for Religion and Society Studies in the US, while studying and defending his essays at Oxford University in England. Due to his passion, vision, and insight, Dr. Anderson is a popular speaker, writer, and consultant for major national and international events; he has appeared on ABC, BET, CSPAN, FOX, and TBN television stations, and interviewed on over 2,000 radio networks worldwide.

Dr. Anderson is the author of several books on race and diversity, including Letters Across the Divide (Baker, 2001), Multicultural Ministry (Zondervan, 2004), and the award-winning Gracism: The Art of Inclusion (IVP, 2007). In 2010, Dr. Anderson edited and co-authored the acclaimed Multicultural Ministry Handbook: Creatively Connecting to a Diverse World (IVP, 2010). His newest book, I Forgrace You: Doing Good to Those Who Have Hurt You (IVP, 2011) is now available at
